Who we are

This website (https://katekulikova.photo) is operated by Kate Kulikova, a family photographer based in Rugby, Warwickshire, United Kingdom.

What we collect, and why

If you fill in the contact form: we store the name, email address and message you submit. We use this solely to reply to your enquiry and to discuss a potential photography session.

If you simply visit the site: our web server records standard request information in its access logs — your IP address, the page you requested, the time, the referring page (if any) and your browser's user-agent string. This is the same data any web server records by default; we use it for security (e.g. detecting abuse) and to understand which pages are visited.

We do not set tracking cookies, run third-party analytics, or load advertising scripts on this site.

Legal basis

We rely on legitimate interest (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) for both processing activities above — replying to enquiries that you initiated, and keeping basic server logs for security and operations.

How long we keep your data

• Contact form messages: kept in our email inbox until your enquiry is resolved or the photography work is delivered. Routinely cleared after 24 months.
• Server access logs: rotated automatically and kept for up to 30 days.
• Photographs from a paid session: original files are archived for at least 12 months after delivery so you can request reprints; you may ask for them to be deleted earlier.

Where your data is stored

This website runs on standard internet infrastructure. Two providers necessarily come into contact with parts of your data while delivering it:

• The website host (Oracle Cloud, UK region) holds the site files and processes the network requests that load the page in your browser.
• The email provider (Apple) receives and stores any message you send to hello@katekulikova.photo, including through the contact form.

Neither of them uses your data for their own purposes. We do not sell, rent, or pass your personal data to third parties for marketing.

Use of your photographs

If you book a session, a small selection of images may be used in Kate's online portfolio and social media (Instagram, Facebook). If you prefer to keep your images private, please tell us before your session — see the How it works page for the full note.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• ask us to correct inaccurate data
• ask us to delete your data (where we have no continuing legal reason to keep it)
• object to our processing
• complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk)

If we materially change how we handle data, we will update this page and adjust the "Last updated" date above.
